From Daniel Oduber Liberia Airport (LIR):

 

Exit the airport towards Route 21 and turn right towards the towns of Guardia, Comunidad and Filadelfia. Continue until you reach Belen. Pass the bridge and turn right at the Total gas station onto Route 155 toward the town of Tamarindo. Pass the towns of Santana and Huacas.

At Huacas, continue straight for 5 min. until you reach the community of Matapalo. After passing their soccer field make an immediate left turn continuing into Playa Grande. At the fork keep to the left and follow it to the Hotel Las Tortugas where you will make a right hand turn running parallel with the ocean. We are located at the end of the road marked by the name of the house. If the road turns right you have missed the beach house.

 

From Tamarindo Airport: 

 

Leaving the airport, turn left at the main road. At the four way stop in Huacas make a left hand turn to Playa Grande. After 5-8 minutes, you will enter the community of Matapalo.

After passing their soccer field make an immediate left turn and follow the road into Playa Grande. At the fork in the road keep to the left and follow it to the Hotel Las Tortugas where you will make a right hand turn running parallel with the ocean. We are located at the end of the road marked by the name of the house. If the road turns right you have missed the beach house.

 

From San Jose Airport 

 

Get on the Pan American Highway (Hwy 1) north for about 2 hours toward Liberia, follow the signs. After passing town of Matapalo, turn left toward the Tempisque Bridge (Puente Amistad de Taiwan).

After crossing the bridge, continue straight till you come to a “T” intersection, turn right toward Nicoya and Tamarindo. Continue north for about an hour until town of Belen. Here take a left turn toward Tamarindo and Playa Grande.

After about 35 minutes you will pass a gas station and go over a mountain hill before coming to a four way stop in Huacas. A left turn leads to Tamarindo, continue straight for 5 min. until you reach the community of Matapalo. After passing their soccer field make an immediate left turn and follow the road into Playa Grande.
