DIRECTIONS TO PLAYA GRANDE

FROM: Daniel Oduber Liberia Airport (LIR)​

• VIA ROUTE 911 (MONKEY TRAIL): WEATHER PERMITTING (CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE, 4x4 RECOMMENDED)

• VIA ROUTE 21: RECOMMENDED ROUTE

• Exit the Airport: Upon leaving the airport, turn right onto Route 21, heading toward the towns of Guardia, Comunidad, and Filadelfia.

• Continue to Belen: Stay on Route 21 until you reach Belen.

• Turn onto Route 155: In Belen, pass the bridge and turn right at the Total gas station onto Route 155, heading toward the town of Tamarindo.

• Pass Through Santana and Huacas: Continue on Route 155, passing through the towns of Santana and Huacas.

• Proceed to Matapalo: At Huacas, continue straight for approximately 5 minutes until you reach the community of Matapalo.

• Turn into Playa Grande: After passing the soccer field in Matapalo, make an immediate left turn to enter Playa Grande.

• Follow the Road to Hotel Las Tortugas: At the fork, keep left and follow the road to Hotel Las Tortugas.

• Final Turn: At Hotel Las Tortugas, make a right-hand turn running parallel to the ocean.

• Arrival at Villa Olivia: Continue to the end of the road, where you'll find Villa Olivia, marked by the name of the house. If the road turns right, you've missed the beach house.

 

FROM: Tamarindo Airport:

Leaving the airport, turn left at the main road. At the four way stop in Huacas make a left hand turn to Playa Grande. After 5-8 minutes, you will enter the community of Matapalo.  After passing their soccer field make an immediate left turn and follow the road into Playa Grande. At the fork in the road keep to the left and follow it to the Hotel Las Tortugas where you will make a right hand turn running parallel with the ocean. We are located at the end of the road marked by the name of the house. If the road turns right you have missed the beach house.
